La Finca La Leona is in the south of Tolima, in the region of Planadas and more precisely in the village of Gaitania. Afranio Enciso and his son transformed their farm through a shared dedication to testing new coffee varieties and refining their post-harvest techniques. These efforts culminated in an impressive 8th-place finish in the 2015 Cup of Excellence, a remarkable feat in a field of over 1,000 competitors. This achievement serves as a powerful testament to both their hard work and the exceptional quality of their terroir. The farm is now run by Afranio's daughter, Laura, who has taken over the company.

This bean was roasted in between light and medium. The profile of this coffee is exceptional; with the sample roast being split into espresso and pour over, both of which embrace a clean, milk chocolate based cup that is cut with caramel, citrus, and a very light nut profile.
